Recognized in Switzerland, in Europe and throughout the world, the baccalaureate opens up numerous perspectives and opportunities. As an alternative to the Maturité, it is a recognized springboard for access to higher education.
ALTERNATIVE TO MATURITY
As an alternative to the Maturité, the bac gives access to all universities, hotel schools, EPFL... in Switzerland but also abroad . However, certain conditions may be required (choice of specialties or minimum grades, for example).
The mention " assez bien " (average of 12/20 minimum) allows you to enter Swiss universities. Find below the access requirements of each university.
100% SUCCESS RATE
As a member of the GESBF (Groupement des Ecoles Suisses préparant au Baccalauréat Français), our school is certified to prepare for the French Baccalaureate.
As part of our pedagogy, approach and curriculum Secondary II, our school has a 100% success rate in the baccalaureate (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024). The pass rate (equal to or higher than 12/20) was 100% in 2021, 75% in 2022.
COMMON EDUCATION AND SPECIALTIES
Students benefit from both a common core and the ability to choose specialties.
In common education, students study a wide range of subjects: French, two other modern languages, science, history-geography, philosophy, physical education and sports.
By choosing a specialty, they can give a more marked coloration in a particular area of their degree. The specialties they can choose are: Mathematics / Plastic Arts / History-geography, geopolitics and political science / Humanities, literature and philosophy / Languages, literature and foreign cultures / Digital and computer sciences / Physics-chemistry / Life and Earth sciences / Economic and social sciences.

Diplôme d'études secondaires supérieures (high school diploma) with specialization in mathematics in première and specialization in mathematics or complementary mathematics option in terminale and specialization in life and earth sciences or physics and chemistry in première and terminale + an average of 12/20
EPFL
Baccalauréat général with specialization in "Mathematics" and "Physics-Chemistry" in première and terminale. Mathematics and physics-chemistry marks equal to or higher than 16 andoverall average equal to or higher than 16. Otherwise: EPFL entrance exam
ETHZ
Baccalauréat général (general baccalaureate), with proof of the following subjects: 1. specialization in mathematics, 2. specialization in life and earth sciences or physics and chemistry, and 3. language of instruction or first modern language during the last two years (classes de première et de terminale) before the end of secondary school. These subjects must have been the subject of final examinations and obtained with an average of at least 70% of the maximum value (14/20). The overall average mark for the school-leaving certificate must be at least 16/20. In addition, four other subjects from the following disciplines must have been taken in the last three years: physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, another language, geography, history, economics. Otherwise: entrance exam to ETHZ.

Graduation diploma + proof of admission in the desired field of study at a university recognized by the respective university in the country of origin of the graduation diploma or an average grade of 12/20.
The subject Scientific Education is not recognized as a category 4 scientific subject
Bern
Graduation diploma + proof of admission in the desired field of study at a university recognized by the respective university in the country of origin of the graduation diploma or a grade point average of 12/20.

Secondary school diploma + proof of enrolment in the chosen field of study at a university recognized by the relevant institution in the country of origin of the secondary school diploma or an average of 12/20.
Science Education is not recognized as a Category 4 Natural Science subject.
